GLH Hotels Management (UK) Limited is committed to ensuring that as a Company we are 'socially responsible'. We take both our commitment to the environment and to the communities in which we operate seriously and strive to ensure that we are ethical in all our business practices.
WE’RE RAISING MONEY AND SMILES FOR FIVE AMAZING CHILDREN’S CHARITIES!
Lite@Nite is a charity initiative established by glh to actively support the work of five children’s charities, Barnardo’s, British Triathlon Trust Foundation, The Children’s Society, Kids Company & Kidscape, particularly in their work to aid children who are at risk at night.
Our employees and partners organise, host and participate in bold, challenging and radical activities, to raise cash for Lite@Nite. Our annual events include an employee relay where teams from across the UK join forces to take part in passing the Lite@Nite baton between all of our hotels from Inverness to London, and our kids’ events where we invite children to participate in fun packed mini triathlons.
Our aim, is to engage our entire company and all our team members across the country, to be part of something amazing, for the benefit of vulnerable kids.
WE ACTIVELY SEEK TO REDUCE OUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
Working with suppliers, partners and our team-members we aim to ensure that we all understand the environmental impact of our operations. We look to reduce energy and water consumption and increase recycling levels.
Our environmental policy is regularly monitored by the group corporate responsibility committee and updated to reflect new initiatives and processes to reduce our impact on the environment both locally and nationally.
WE RECOGNISE AND VALUE THE COMMUNITIES THAT WE OPERATE WITHIN.
As a successful and progressive hotel business we wish to interact with and support these diverse communities wherever possible.
Our commitment to the community includes supporting local charities at individual hotels. We form and maintain links with local schools and colleges for work experience placements and support employees that wish to volunteer to assist local community projects where appropriate.
